About Us> New Here?

Welcome to Grove Church!

At Grove Church it gives us great joy to welcome newcomers among us. We genuinely welcome everyone to join in any of our pursuits as we worship and serve our Lord Jesus Christ. Our church family earnestly hopes that you find a safe and comfortable place among us as we live for Jesus and change lives. This is true regardless of where you are on your faith journey.

OPEN COMMUNION

Worship and fellowship are not the only activities where all are welcome. The Lord’s Table, also known as communion or the Eucharist, is practiced as  “open communion” at Grove Church. We welcome to the Lord’s Table all who want to grow closer to Jesus Christ, who repent of their sin, and seek to live in peace with one another, regardless of church or denominational affiliation.

FAQs, OUR BELIEFS, SERVICES & TIMES

As a jump start we want to guide you to some of the areas on the website that new visitors  find most helpful. Our Frequently Asked Questions  and  What to Expect pages offer answers to some common questions from newcomers. The What We Believe page summarizes the tenets of our Methodist denomination. Our denomination echoes the sentiments of our founder, John Wesley, who called for agreement in essentials but charity in everything else. We don’t demand everyone agree on everything but seek to establish a central core of belief around our faith in Jesus Christ.  Lastly, worship services and when they are held  are typically some of  the first questions newcomers have, so we provided a basic description and list of worship service times on our Services Times & Types page. We hope you will find a time and style that appeals to you. We encourage trying them all as each is uniquely inspiring.

“Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters. Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.” —Hebrews 13:1-2 NIV
