Grove’s Nurture Team
The Nurture Team is a ministry of volunteers at Grove Church who view our church as a place that loves and cares for all of our members’ needs. We provide meals, visits, home communion and other special gifts for those who are experiencing challenging times. God actively works through the Nurture Team to aid those who may need assistance. There is a standing Nurture Team meeting on the second Sunday of each month, at 12:15 PM following the ARISE! Service.
For special needs, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Nurture Team has the following active committees:
•Care Baskets— Delivering a small basket of items when there has been a death in the family.
•Coffee Hour— Providing coffee/snacks for congregation between church services in Fellowship Hall, once per quarter.
•Dinner Doers— Preparing and delivering a complete meal to a family who could use help, such as a new baby, illness, or death in family.
•Home Communion— Serving home Communion to homebound members of Grove Church on Sundays when communion is part of worship at Grove.
•Petal Pushers— Delivering donated fresh-cut altar flowers to homebound members of Grove Church after Sunday services.
•Prayer Chain— Distributing confidential requests for prayer from Sunday church services, web site, or other communications. These are normally requests for members, family and friends dealing with illnesses or difficult times and are distributed via email several times per week (or as-needed), to the Grove Prayer team.
