A wedding is a joyous celebration before God of the love between the bride and groom and their commitment to each other. We at Grove United Methodist Church look forward to helping couples prepare not only for their wedding, but for their lifelong marriage. Our task is not only to offer a wedding ceremony to treasure but to help build a strong foundation for a healthy marriage that will last a whole life long.
The first step in scheduling a wedding at Grove Church is to speak with the Senior Pastor to determine if the date and time you desire is available. Weddings are scheduled on a first come, first served basis. Please remember that our church building is used for many activities and our staff have other events in their schedule, so it may not always possible to give you your first choice date. Be sure to schedule your date with the pastor before making any firm commitments with caterers, reception halls, or family members. If you desire to have a particular pastor preside at your wedding, you may share that with the Senior Pastor. Weddings should be scheduled at least three months in advance to allow time for the pre-marital counseling. At least three sessions of pre-marital counseling are required for all couples desiring to be married at Grove. Usually weddings at Grove would be scheduled only for church members and family members of church members.
Contact Pastor Knerr at PastorKnerr@GroveChurch.org or call 610-696-2663. He will discuss with you the details of premarital counseling sessions and other preparations needed for the wedding ceremony.
