Grove Youth Ministries

Grove Youth Ministries (GYM) is a Christian Youth Group for students in grades 6 through 12. Our season begins in late September with a Kick Off Event. The September Kick Off offers games, food and fellowship centering around a theme. Themes of the past have included: Luau, Baseball, Backyard Games and Football. Generally, our regular Sunday night programs start the Sunday after the Kick Off and run through the school year.

Youth Choir – Grades 6-12

The Youth Choir participates at the ARISE! worship service from September through June. Each year the choir embarks on a Choir Tour, traveling to various areas of the country performing at churches and other special events. Check out our Tour Page for the latest details about Choir Tour. Rehearsals are Sundays at 4:30 pm.

Appalachian Service Project (ASP) – Grades 9-12

Grove has sent groups on ASP trips to repair homes in the Appalachian regions of Virginia, West Virginia, Tennessee and Kentucky for over 20 years! We take a team of students who have completed grades 9-12, young adults, and adult volunteers in mid-July for a week of rewarding work.

West Chester Mission Blitz – Grades 6-8

The West Chester Mission Blitz is a week-long community service opportunity for students who have completed grades 6-8. The group stays in the dorms at area colleges and spends the week doing repairs, painting, gardening, cleaning and other service projects for individuals and non-profit organizations in the local area.

International Service – Grades 12 and older

Grove Youth have participated in several International Trips including one trip to Ghana (West Africa) and two trips to Honduras (Central America). These trips are open to active 12th graders, young adults, and adults.

Christian Education (Middle School & Senior High)

Grove Sunday School enriches young lives by fostering a personal relationship with Jesus and helping students to apply Bible lessons in everyday situations. Middle Schoolers meet upstairs in Room 208. Senior High students meet mid-week in girls’ and boys’ small groups.

Confirmation Class – Grades 8 – 9

In 8th – 9th grade, youth are invited to participate in a yearlong Confirmation Class, preparing to claim their faith and become professing members of the church. Youth who have not been baptized may receive baptism at that time after completing the confirmation program.
