All Hands Workday – Sat Oct 28th – Your Help Is Needed!
Grove Workday from 8 – 2 PM
Most of us take for granted that the church building will be ready to offer worship services and provide a place for our groups to meet. But it takes work to keep our building in good shape and prepare for the change of seasons. We do this at our Trustees Workday.
Twice a year, there is an All Church Hands Work Day coordinated by your Trustees. It is a time where each of us, regardless of our skill level, can contribute a couple of hours of effort towards the maintenance and care of Grove. This is a time where through the effort of a lot of volunteers, we can take care of a number of needed jobs around Grove! There are both indoor and outdoor jobs, high effort and low effort things to do. We had a great turnout at the last one and the job list has grown a lot since then, so we ask all of you who have helped in the past to come out for this, as well as those of you who have not had the chance to have this much fun knowing how it helps Grove. There is a great sense of Grove community on these Work Days, working together to take care of Grove.
The Work Day is scheduled for Saturday, October 28th from 8am to 2pm. In the Methodist tradition, there will be coffee and snacks in the morning when you arrive, as well as pizza for a lunchtime break. Come to the sign in table in the church lobby on Saturday morning October 28th and get an assignment. Come for an hour or the whole morning. Join with others as we all pitch in to keep Grove a beautiful place to worship and work.
If you have work or garden gloves, please bring them. If you have any questions or suggestions to add to the list, send an email to
email@example.com. All Church Hands are needed!
