How to Serve
Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. —Philippians 2:4
There are hundreds of outreach opportunities at Grove throughout the year. Some are seasonal, some are annual, and some are monthly or weekly. Here you will discover the missions that are the best way for you to serve others in need, in our community and in the world. As Christians we are called to help others and it is our earnest duty to do so. Outreach is one of the pillars of Grove Church’s vision for integrating God into our day-to-day lives.
Serving God by participating in outreach at Grove Church can take many forms. If serving dinner at the Salvation Army isn’t your cup of tea, then perhaps packing canned food and vegetables for Christmas Food Baskets is a better fit for your abilities and availability. Or maybe bringing a can or box of food each month would be an easy way to help others as you participate in Grove’s Circle of Giving collection. Are you handy with a hammer or caulk gun? The Good Works workday or Appalachia Service Project would be right up your alley. Perhaps your time is limited, and donating money or specific items to benefit those in need would be a good choice for you. Certainly there are many opportunities for you and your family to offer time, talent or treasure.
As you explore the Outreach area of the Grove website, take note of the contact information for each mission or group. Reach out to the contact person today and ask them how you can help.
