Nurturing/Parenting Class to Begin
Join other parents on Wednesday mornings from 9:15-10:30 in Z Lounge for a parenting class co-led by Grove's Education Director, Patti Klotz and Grove's Preschool's Director, Melissa Bechtel.
Classes begin on Wednesday, October 22 and will be held weekly. Some topics to be discussed will be: Discipline, Communicating with Respect, Building Self Worth, Understanding Feelings.
 
Fall Fest, Saturday, November 1
Grove’s Fall Fest will soon be here. This event supports the mission of the United
Methodist Women, with every penny going to missions benefiting women and children. The date is November 1 from 9-2.

Trunk or Treat, Saturday, October 25th
Join us for our 4th Annual Trunk or Treat at Grove on Saturday, October 25th at 5:00 in the parking lot. Participants decorate the trunk of their cars and pass out treats to our little ones. Children from Grove’s Preschool and children from the community are invited.
There were some amazing trunks last year- wonder whose will be the best this year???
If it rains, we will pass out treats inside.

Good Works Workday - November 8, 2014

 

Grove Good Works Workday - Saturday, November 8th – Work with power tools, swing a hammer, spackle and paint or whatever task suits you best. Come help repair homes for those in need right here in Chester County. Work alongside fellow Grove members to make someone’s home warmer, safer, and drier.  All senior high youth and adults are welcome and no special skills are required.

GriefShare at Grove Church


 

Press Release:

If you have lost a loved one or friend due to death we hope that you will consider GriefShare at Grove. GriefShare is a 13 week support/educational program designed to help those who are experiencing grief navigate the journey from mourning to joy. Included topics are "Living with Grief" and "Why?". The next session will be on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. beginning September 10 and concluding December 10. We will not meet the week of Thanksgiving. The registration fee of $20 covers the expense of the book and program. Scholarships are available.

 

On November 22, from 10:00 a.m. to Noon we will be offering a special event  titled "Getting Through the Holidays" to the congregation and the community. . Anyone who has experienced loss will benefit from this session as the holidays approach.

Please watch for more information about "A Quiet Christmas Service" - a special service for anyone who has experienced loss (death and other losses).
